Installation guide for new software
Installation via unit
1. After downloading the software update, please unpack the data file via WINZIP.
2. Connect the Traffic Assist Highspeed / Traffic Assist Highspeed II with the USB cable
to your computer.
3. Switch on the unit without touching the screen. (Active Sync must be installed for transfer)
4. In the Active Sync window please click on the button „Search“ and open the folder „Storage Card“.
5. Please copy both data files from step 1 into the folder „Storage Card“.
6. After transfer please switch on your unit. (“reset” is on the underside of the unit)
7. The unit will be updated and then the unit is up to date.
8. If the software is updated, please remove both data files from the folder „Storage Card“.
(click right on the data and delete - see step 4 and 5)
Installation via card reader
1. After downloading the software update, please unpack the data file via WINZIP.
2. Insert the SD card into your card reader.
3. Please copy both data files from step 1 on your SD card.
(Card reader will be displayed as a drive on the windows explorer)
4. After transfer please, remove the SD card from your card reader and put it into your unit.
5.
Switch on the unit and the software will be updated.
(if the updating doesn’t start automatically, please “reset” the unit on the underside of the unit)
6.
If the software is updated, please remove both data files from the SD card.
(click right on the data and delete - see step 2 and 3)
